About Shelley

Shelley Murley is an accomplished violinist, pianist, composer, speaker, and educator. She is trained in the Suzuki method for music instruction and obtained her A.R.T.C. from the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music. In addition to producing music for children, she is recognized for spiritual and contemporary compositions for diverse performers and audiences. She has has also written the musical score for theatrical performances.

Shelley is an engaging speaker and presents throughout North America on music and education.

As a St. Nicholas-credentialed Montessori educator, Shelley created the "Montessori through Music" program and workshops that provide activities and curricula aimed at helping children explore music through Montessori principles. She also founded the Willow Tree School - an education program that balances home education, spirtuality, extracurricular activites, and community involvement. She has taught music students in piano, violin, and music theory, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) in Japan and Canada.

Shelley lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada with her husband and four children.
